What is a cloud-native application and how is it different from a cloud-based application? For starters, a cloud-based application is typically a monolithic system that sits on the cloud. A cloud-native application on the other hand, is loosely coupled and microservices-oriented, leveraging on a multitude of cloud services.
Moreover, this approach is further exemplified with the advancement of increasingly popular container and container orchestration technology.
